Kelly Clarkson to Sing National Anthem at Super
 Bowl!
The first American Idol, Kelly Clarkson, will sing the national anthem as part of the Super Bowl XLVI pregame festivities at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis on Sunday, Feb. 5, the NFL announced today. This means that four American Idols will have performed the National Anthem in five years: Jordin Sparks (2008), Jennifer Hudson (2009), Carrie Underwood (2010), and now Kelly Clarkson (2012). Although this is Kelly’s Super Bowl debut, she wowed fans with the National Anthem during Game 3 of the 2010 World Series in her home state of Texas.
The NFL previously announced that Madonna will perform in the Bridgestone Super Bowl XLVI Halftime Show. Get an exclusive first look at her new music video during American Idol this Thursday, February 2.
